Newsflash

You probably noticed we now have a "Random Image" displayed on the front page of the SPORTRC web site.  For those that havent figured it out yet, the images are random images taken from all the images our users upload to the Forums.  So, if you upload in image in one of your posts then chances are it will appear in the random image box on the front page of the site.  I think this is a great way for people to get a snapshop (excuse the pun) of what our hobby is all about.  Keep posting your pics so we have a really good cross section of what we are all about.  Another tip would be to post pics of people... people having fun.  That's what any hobby is about, putting smiles on peoples dials and having fun.  If you have a great pic of people, a vehicle or a ripper bingle get posting we really need your support.

S.P.O.R.T R/C stands for "Southern Peninsula Off-road Track".
We are a small group of radio controlled nitro enthusiasts who get together every week to race and bash our vehicles.  Scale model racing is a large sport and has clubs all over the world.  Currently in Australia there many clubs but sadly, very few are based in Victoria and there are as far as we know none in Melbourne's SE who are dedicated to off-road.

We are currently in the process of securing land, council support, sponsors and members to create a venue on the peninsula which will meet the needs of this ever growing sport.

At the moment our small group gathers at various locations in the Frankston and Morington Peninsula areas.  Locations include Truemans Rd reserve located on Truemans Rd in Tootgarook,  Frankston BMX track at Wells Rd Seaford and Emil Masden reserve in Wooralla Dr Mooruduc.

Check the calendar and forums on the SPORTRC web site www.sportrc.net for get togethers, bashes and other events.

While you're here check out our active forums and sign up to say hello to the others guys and gals and by all means, post some pics of your ride.  We are a friendy bunch and we are always looking for new friends to share our hobby.

Also use the Contact Us link if you wish to email us either to say hello, register your interest in the track.

We have yet to finalise the details of the track, but we will be trying to cater for all types and scales of off-road R/C vehicles so if you think you can help, please talk to us.

If you are interested in what SPORTRC are doing then be sure to check our website offen, anything worthy of note will be posted right here.  We hope to see you and your vehicle turn out for the next event.  See you there.....
